Yep. all the stuff you mentioned can change FPS. FPS stands for Frames Per Second, thats how many times an image is displayed in a second. More the better.frost_mourne13
I knew that but i was wondering if there was a way that you could figure out the frames per second, and does it change for different games?
30-40 is really good for your gpu and the game. What are the rest of your specs and what settings are the game on?

any other specs you want to know just ask, and being a noob I don't really know what settings you're talking about, i don't know how to change settings so i play with whatever settings they are on.

today i got some really weird results, but anyway yesterday i was running graw with 1024 by 768 resolution and was getting between 30 and 40 fps, today i tried running it under the same resolution and was getting between 8 and 12 fps, then tried under the max resolution which was 1680 by 1050 and got 18 to 20 fps. Can someone tell me whats going on?
you might have had background stuff going on at that time..... or you may have disabled something without realising like anti-alising or vertical sync??muppet1010
pretty sure i didn't have anything running, as for anti-alising and vertical sync and other settings, i have no idea what those are.
