You might be able to get away with it- I know I tested GRAW with only 512mb of ram when it required 1gb. It loaded slowly, but played ok.

Although 256mb is way old- I'm at 1gb and that's already pushing it. You could upgrade your system very cheaply to play the game.

It would probably run, but the game will wind up "hitching" or "stuttering" on you, where the game runs smooth for a few seconds, and then just freezes for a second-and that second is usually when an enemy pops up in your face, leaving you helpless as said enemy scores another kill. (Well, that last example is personal experience from a different game-PlanetSide, to be exact-but it could also be an issue in Guild Wars as well.) All I can say is that even 512 MB of RAM is too little for modern games, and if you only have 256 MB...just forget it until you have a new PC with at least 2 GB of the stuff. Not that I like it, but that's just the way it is.

If you don't have enough RAM your harddrive will create "virtual ram" granted its not nearly as fast as actual RAM, it should still run just very, very slowly.

How do you have 448 mb of RAM... anyways it would load sooooooooo slow it wouldn't be worth, because once it does load it will be a picture slide show and you'll be like mexico is pretty too bad I cant shoot at these guys.

Don't worry! Guildwars plays very good even with only 256 of RAM.

Spartan3952

It should still work unless the game automatically quits when it detects below requirement. If you can, it won't be very good as it will be slow.

Yes, I've been always a poor PC gamer, but GW is very optimised, it runs on lots of configurations.
