I mean beside from Spore which looks totally awesome, and crysis that look just crazy, and portal that seems very intersting, kind of a new 3D platformer, does anyone else think that there aren't big revolutionnay title for pc around?

Supreme Commander didn't lived up to my expectation, it's a fairly standard RTS with a much bigger scale, emphasing on reconnaissance and everything, but feel pretty old, company of heroes was a much bigger revolution, emphasing on micromanagement, but gawd, I played my share of WOW(about 6-7 months) after released, and now all I see are pretty standard game, silverfall doesn't look interesting at all, bioshock is just another fps just a bit more movie like. Oblivion was great, but it's more of a x360 port.

I'm starting to get a bit depressed by computer gaming, sure I got old fun title like simcity and civilization to cheer me up a bit, the half-life 2 series (hl2 and episode 1) are pretty exciting but it's part of the nostalgy, fear had a nice single player but come on, C&C3 looks fairly but fairly standard, but should appeal C&C fan (wich I'm not but still have respect for cuz it has been a great game), halo 2 is just another shooter withouth innovation so is infernal.

Plz somebody point me a great game comming for PC

I agree, from a technology point of view yes, but from a gameplay point of view no

i can't say i know of any revolutionary pc games coming out. half life 2 e2 is bound to throw some new ideas and mechanics, and team fortress 2 may or may not do something decent for online shooters.

in all honesty, i can't think of very many games that would be considered "revolutionary"

The game im only really hyped for right now is Stalker. Its not exactly a new concept (realistical "living", unscripted world), however it seems to be the only game that's seriously implementing it, (might be forgetting some classics, but dont try to say somethin like Oblivion was realistic)

games just seem to be taking it safe lately... maybe it's because of the "Vista/Next Gen console" thing. I do hope some devs snap out of it though

I must agree thatcrysis isn't too much realistic, it's just far cry with a astonishing technical improvement, at least, it won't be linear as a lot of game

I dont really follow, but yea bioshock so far doesnt look like anything new. It'll prolly be something like halo 1, amazing on console but only decent on pc, on both a technical side (graphics) and gameplay.

Bio-shock seems very promising, from what I have read and seen, it seems they are trying something very new.. That has really never been tried before, I would say this seems the most promising game atm.

RTS's...  None really all the ones I have been hopeing for have yet to be announced..

RPG's... None atm there seems to be a lack of many not to mention the huge disapointment a great deal of people got form last years RPGs...

Infact it seems that if there is anything we do not have a shortage of its MMO's.. They seem to be the new cash cow of the market..  Hopefully they die down or advance into different branchs of innovation instead of following the tried and proven rpg archtype, while taking very little risk..

And why would you say that, it seems pretty standard to me, a bit more focused on adventuring rather then fighting

I share your pain, im bored with alot of games on PC aswel... My tastes in games are on the realistic side, that being Armed Assault and Red Orchestra, the only two games im playing. Ive played just about everything, im starting to think im losing interest in video games in general because nothing is rekindling my interest. My suggestion, try armed assault. Its pretty buggy, but its satisfying...

i'm going back to my old games because all the new ones are boring - giants: citizen kabuto, dungeon keeper 2, doom, wolf 3D, and so on

Huh? Bioshock has some AI innovation...but that's pretty much it. Just about every other gameplay feature was found in System Shock 2 (SS2 probably has more, actually), except for the 'plasmids', which are basically the nano augmentations from Deus Ex.

Fuel of War look awfully standard, Unreal 3 does seems cool with a bit of thecnical innovation but almost no gameplay innovation

I dunno.  Best games I've played lately were all from independant developers.  Sam and Max, Eeets, Mr. Robot, everything spiderweb software puts out.  I like these games because they all have good game play mechanics and not just flash that you get bored of after ten minutes.

While Bioshock may not be revolutionary, it definitely isn't a standard FPS. If it is indeed more about adventuring instead of fighting, then that alone makes it different from the vast majority of FPSs. Even if it's just System Shock 2 underwater, that would make it quite "unstandard". Is that a word? :|
