Hey guys, I'd say I have like 200 to spend on an upgrade for my computer and I was thinking of getting the C2D E7500 and a 1TB Caviar Black (when black friday sales come) or something like that.

As of right now I have the 2.4ghz e2220 dual core and it really isn't all that bad at all to be honest so I'm wondering if I should bother even upgrading right now.

or maybe I should upgrade something else? I couldn't find anything worth upgrading since I don't have too much time for the whole gaming thing anyways

E2220 2.4 GHz
6 GB ddr2-800
XFX 8800GT
x-Fi fatal1ty titanium
OCZ StealthXtream 600W
Western Digital 250GB

yeah.. if there's no point in upgrading I'll just use that extra cash for some cloths and alcohol

i dunno why I feel like upgrading anyways I think its cause the prices are gonna be on sale soon lol

I went from a E2160 @ 3.0Ghz to a Q9550 @ 4.0Ghz and it is definitely a noticeable difference. But I wouldn't suggest getting anything less then a Q9550. Maybe get that HDD and spend the rest on liquor!

I'd OC it first if possible. After all the Pentium Dual Cores are cache crippled C2Ds, or so I've heard. If you cant OC it, hell, buy a C2D

you can Oc them but they never get passed 2.6Ghz (might as well just be an underclocked pentium-dual core)

core 2 duo if you can otherwise feel free to OC i highly recommend the anthalon II 64 x4 + a matching mobo

I've heard of overclocking the e5200 past 2.6 ghz, but I suppose it could be a different issue with the e2200

I overclocked my E2160 to 3.4Ghz easily. He should have no trouble getting past 3.0Ghz.
