games i have on pre-order that should be coming november:
gears of war
hellgate
crysis
call of duty 4
f.e.a.r: perseus mandate
the witcher (late october release, i'm sure i'll be playing it well into november)
i think i'm going to be spending most time with the witcher and hellgate, being rpgs they are naturally more time consuming games - especially hellgate, which if it's anything like diablo 2, will be a game i'll play for hundreds or thousands of hours... the witcher has a purported 80 hours of play, which means it probably has 50 tops - but as i'm taking a week off work for it, i think i'll blow through it fairly quickly
if the crysis wysiwyg editor really is as easy to use and powerful as it looks, then i suspect i'll get hundreds of hours out of crysis and it will completely replace half life 2 as my screw around fps - so i may be playing that a ton
gears of war - i really only care for coop... i'll probably play the single player campaign once, coop the campaign once or twice, then stick it back on the shelf till we get some good mods
call of duty 4 i really only care about singleplayer, and as much as i love cod, it's really a play-once-a-year thing, so i'll play it once then shelf it
perseus mandate may end up with a pretty long lifespan, even though it's standalone i'm considering it an expansion, so i'm thinking 8 hours tops - but it has the instant action mode from the 360 version of f.e.a.r, which is basically a skirmish mode for fps, where the game randomly generates a map and fills it with enemies, and you just blow through them - could be a ton of fun and something i find myself loading up every time i want to vent some frustration
