http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-260.63-beta-driver.html

Adds the general performance gains which is pretty standard, but major improvements in the SLI department.

Also adds Bluray 3D, through HDMI.

For the people that connect it to their amplifiers, we get DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD lossless.

Even a new setup, which completely removes the previous GPU driver, so the functionality of driver sweeper (don't know how well this works, but they listened to us).

Surrond sound and video has got a improvement, more user friendly but it gives a bit of freedom to people who want to experiment.

3D Vision has got a huge boost, works with Firefox 4 and Chrome, don't know of any 3D web based content but if you find some, please share.

Minor improvements have been DX7-9 running on W7, some of those older games work much better now. CS5 is also supported now.

All up, its been about 2 months since the last driver was released, but this is great.

This is why people say "NVIDIA has better drivers than ATI". God bless you NVIDIA

I like my HD 5870, but you gotta admit that NVIDIA is better with their drivers.

You don't need to, no more using driver sweeper, the new installer is great.

How long is it usually before they finish the stage, is it worth waiting? ( I can't remember ever using beta drivers before, but I don't see how it would hurt).

Based on past experience, anywhere from 1-5 weeks, I would guess this needs 4-5 weeks, they are adding alot of functionality and features and there is bound to be some bugs. Even from Nvidia devs.

Great set of drivers,

But if we are getting in to whose drivers are better, it depends on the specific drivers people, please use the brain to realize this, its not that hard of a concept.

Nvidia released some a few months ago that fried GPUs. (on the other hand, they generally release decent drivers)

ATI has released some that did jack crap as well, but on the other hand the past year especially the hd4 and hd5 series, AMD has definitely been stepping up to the plate with their drivers! To not acknowledge that is biased.

Now about these drivers, Im excited for when they become WQHL, I am running dual 8800gt in SLI right now, So if this improves SLI, (even if only slightly for the 8800gt series) I am looking forward to them.

ATI drivers just plain bite...especially for Crossfire and the 5970s.( which I have ) I'm still stuck at 10.5 due to BSOD on reboot on installing anything above that...though I have not tried the 10.8s yet. Still getting graphical errors in games because HDR or ambient occlusion is rendered too fast ( F03, etc ) so the sky box is almost a strobe light effect. Other games run fine...Metro 2033, CoP, etc. But if ATI can't get this straightened out soon I'm going back to Nvidia. ( especially before New Vegas comes out ) I've got better things to do then mess with drivers all day...

I love this new installer. While I was typing this it removed my graphics driver and my res went back to 1024x720. NVIDIA has great drivers. It makes me want to stick with them when I get a new card soon.

Nvidia is King of drivers once again, puts a smile to my face. Even though I have solo card, the new install is easy and automated. Amd, better have a really good 6xxx lineup to pry me back to red, or a working ccc ( I had nightmares with it ), which was in good working condition when I had launch drivers for x1950 long ago.

Might be waiting awhile for WHQL, it normally only takes 1-2 weeks after beta, but as there is alot of new functionality and a new installer, it might take close to a month to get certified.

True, but when they post the WHQL driver version, more than likely it would contain some coding changes between now and the certification.

Not to mention it could possibly be more stabilized as opposed to a Beta Version.

Aside from that, I'm still running 197.45 because some people have had issues with the 250 drivers. 197.45 is stable, so I'm staying with it until this new one is certified.

I thought I would chime in this - BFBC2 is FINALLY smooth sailing on my rig because of these drivers - no more single gpu microstutter or whatever the heck it was.

Side Note: I had to update MSI Afterburner after installing these. I had an old version of Afterburner and whenever I would select an OC profile and get into a game I would get weird artifacts and the game would either stall for a minute or two or it would lock the entire system. It turns out that the drivers weren't sending the right voltages to the card and my clocks obviously couldn't stay stable at stock voltages.
