The (not so-)stylish goggles are charging asI type, will post a short review when I've tried it (feeling giddy with anticipation)

What are your other system specs?I'm not sure really, but I'm guessing that the nVidia drivers will force 120Hz when you enable the shutter glasses. You may have to install drivers for your monitor though, as Windows 7 / Vista limit the refresh rate when using a normal plug and play monitor.-GeordiLaForge-
yeah, had to go to the monitor CD to get the proper driver, the generic one limits the monitor to 59-60hz refresh
He'll supposedly get ghosting if he doesn't maintain 120fps while using the glasses. I can't say for sure though. I haven't ordered my own yet...60 FPS on Crysis is pretty good so don't worry about it, besides FPS won't make a difference as far as the googles are concerned. Only your monitor refresh rate needs to be 120, FPS has nothing to do with it.

Officially it would seem to be....................F R E A K ' I N awesome. It's like having a box full of 3d characters and settings inside your monitor, kinda like a stage or a diorama (woot grade school references there). Just played mirror's edge in 3d totally unreal immersion, no side-effects after playing for 30 min (other than my vision seems a bitout of sync (may have to look into getting vsync in RL)right after taking them off. Will be testing out more titles tonight...
Congrats! I can't wait to get a pair :D I haven't ran into any "technical" problems using anaglyph glasses, but I still don't use them. The colors are all out of whack, and I have to wear two pairs to eliminate ghosting, which brings the headaches on even quicker. Also, be sure to enable the "nVidia crosshair," if you haven't already. Oh, and be sure to let us know how the other games work ;)Officially it would seem to be....................F R E A K ' I N awesome. How much these glasses cost??? My 42inch plasma is 3d ready! I would love to play some games in 3d !!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
wow 200 bucks... maybe if i got a pair of glasses. Im still probably going to get these with my new build anyway... the 5870x2 will help me out just fine.
Well driver seems pretty shaky so far, Crysis doesn't work very well, had to unplug my other monitor completely (messed up SLI and fps rates). Mass Effect, Empire Total War and Batman AA plays very nice but there is an annoying issue when exiting games where the screen goes black until I ctrl+alt+del in order to get back to desktop.
So do they make aiming and other 1st person stuff harder or slower? Also is the pciture as crisp as usual or is there any blur affects?
Would say that any non-fps game (strategy, racing, 3rd person) should work without problems. The stereoscopic lasersight works very well in games that can either turn off the regular sight or if it's adapted to 3d-vision. In Mass Effect where u can't turn it off it gets somewhat flat and interfers with the lasersight. Didn't see any ghosting or artifacts in the games I've tried so far and the picture is nice and crisp (aa helps alot). The coolest effect is really moving the camera around, everything gets a very 'liquid' feeling.
If u have a 24" screen consider if u can make the move to a smaller one, personally feeling very ambigous right now about the limitation of 22". Ah well will probably have to go back and forth between screens...

Overall yes, would recommend it. It's definately a new way of gaming but comes with quite sizable drawbacks: screen size limit (really annoying if moving from a larger screen) and the driver seems somewhat unstable. Don't really think there is any physical sideeffects (gamed one hour consequtively last night plustested several games,no probs) and the performance hit is negligible.
thats a nice montinor, i have the same. too sad i can only afford the glasses next month.
SLIisaownsystem
Bought it in a combo deal, saved like 10$ woot instead of going with the cheapest separate dealers. But it's nice to have one retailer if there are any warranty issues.
If you want big screen 3d with the 3d vision you could buy a dlp projector off ebay (sharp xr30x for example @US$560). Thats what I did, then its wall sized 3d which is absolutely fantastic with directx10.
Regarding Crysis, it is limited to 60hz in dx10 and the 3dvision requires at least 75hz to activate - so no dx10 crysis :(
You can use dx9 but you have to turn off shadows and postprocessing to get it to work so it doesnt look that great.
