I have a GeForce 6800, best one I could be a couple of years ago. I only have an AGP slot and I was wondering if the 7800 was worth the money to upgrade or if it was so slight a difference that it would be wasting cash.

There's no point in upgrading right now for something that has such a little advantage over your current card...I say, save your money for a really good video card like an 8800 GTS or GTX,

He said he has AGP. DX10 is not AGP (Nivida and ATi Dropped Support.)

Thanks for the information. I found a 7800 online for $210, pretty reasonable considering what I paid for my 6800 a couple of years ago.

Agp? i have a bfg 7800gs and i´m very happy with it. It´s hell of a good overclocker too. BUT, if you can spend a little more, you could get a Radeon 1950 pro. It´s a really powerful card and it has a clear advantage in shader intensive games and it can do HDR + FSAA. Something really important imho, that my card is unable to do :(

My 7800 overclocks a lot better than my 6800 ever did ,just waiting for March to come so i can play these 1st. person shooters and test this card a little better.
