680, 670 and 660 Ti all released cheaper than their AMD equivalents.For your first statement, Im no unbiased saint but its safe to say a 20% improvement for 3x the price tag can be considered a flop

680 costs $500, the AMD equivalent is the 7970 which is superior and costs on average $400 (bought mine for $340)
The 670 costs $350, the AMD equivalent is the 7950 and it costs $300
The 660ti costs $300, well for this card there is no AMD equivalent, The 7950 is superior yet costs the same and the 7870 is inferior but costs $50 less
The 660 costs $220, about the same as the 7870XT which is superior as well
