nvidia control panel

hi just got my first pc with a proper graphics card, it has this "nvidia control panel" and has a list of games, and I can change certain settings of them games.

is there some sort of file I download which does them for me to the best settings.

sorry im a n00b :(

All of those settings are predefined by the Nvidia driver and should be the most efficient rendering method. It's best to leave those alone, unless you know what you're doing.

No he doesnt.

All those different game settings are presets where you can force certain settings like AA, AF, Transparency, etc for the games you own. So for example if you have Battlefield 2 and you dont want to set AA options through the game itself, you just find the BF2 profile under your control panel and set the options you want. This way everytime you launch that game it will use the profile from your control panel.

im on my laptop, I will take a print screen of it tomorrow and post it up here. when i right click on my desktop it has a "Nivda control panel" i opened it and has huge list of games, which i can edit and stuff so when I stick a game in it applys thouse settings.

will take pics tomorrow then mate.:(

oh okay thanks guys so its best to leave them alone? I thought there were all preset as default and I had to edit them

Yeah, unless you're really into balancing out good performance with good graphics quality, you don't need to mess with them. There are a few games that perform better with enhanced AA instead of in-game AA, or different modes of AFR or SFR, but it doesn't sound to me like you're worried about that.

If you want to tweak individual settings for different games you can rather than change your overall graphics card settings (like turning Anti-Aliasing off or on for certain games and leave it on for others).
