When playing FEAR, several times I have gotten a 'red snowflake' effect followed by Blue Screen then a windows restart. Upon coming back to my desktop after rebooting, Windows says the problem is with the Nvidia Driver. Numerous times i have uninstalled (in safe mode) the driver and reinstalled it again but the same crash still happens while I am playing FEAR. I am running an EN8800 GT btw.

I really have no clue what to do now as I have tried everything, is there any way this can be fixed? Should I bring it to a computer store to get checked or anything, because I have no clue what I can do. Thanks in advance.

What driver is it? It might be old. The new one is the 178.24.

new driver not necessary improve everything... en8800gt with 175.19 can perform better details especially far objects.

but with 178.13, the framerates really improved a lot...but the object details from far is decrease.

most important is "no errors", so try different version and check the spec and changes of the driver from release note.
