I'm running one 8800gts 32mb. The latest drivers on the NVIDIA site is 163.71, thats the one I'm using. But when I ran Steam's system troobleshoot, it told me this:

Your nVidia display drivers are currently out of date
For updated drivers, click here
Display Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
Display Version: 6.14.11.6371
Recommended Driver Version: 91.47
Recommended Driver Date: 09/01/2006
Severity: Very High

At the link they suggested, I can only find the same driver I'm using. Whats wrong with this?

Did you properly uninstall the drivers you were using before? If so then it's just a problem with their detection software. There should be an option in the window that will let you play anyway. You can also get the latest 163.75 Beta drivers and see if that gets rid of the warning.

Yeah, I think Steam's driver detection is either not very good, or simply out of date. The last time it warned me about it, I was already running the latest drivers. I set it to never bother me with that warning again, since I check for new drivers often.

Currently, I'm still using ForceWare 162.18. With 163.71, I get "flashing" shadows in every Source-based game. These appear for just about every movable object.
