How good is this card for gaming? I really want to be able to run Supreme Commander so really I am wondering if this is powerful enough for that. Also can you rate the card on a scale of 1-10? 10 being best and 1 being worst card you can get for gaming. thank you in advance for the help.
6/10 Its midrange not an 8400. BUt anyways the 8600 isn't really good in my opinion. try for a 2900pro it costs $250, oh and for SC you need a cood CPU as well.
Supreme commander relies more on cpu power than the graphics card. I'd say the 8600gt should be able to run the game at 1280x1024 with medium settings.
For me the 8600gt is a decent card its not the best but at the price its not such a bad buy. I'd give it a 7.5/10
Well I have a dual core CPU and 4GB of RAM so I should be good there. And from what pcgamer_07 said, I should be alright for playing Supreme Commander.
