someone has die shots and specs on the 560's full gf104 core.. come see!

basically 384 CUDA cores with a clock equal to a 460 1gb (675mhz)

38 stream processors 8 SFU's (special function units)

64 texture units

shader count is still up in the air but dont expect it to exceed 50 more

and 512 memory gddr5

zol is sestimating a 15-20% improvement over the 460 but which one isnt explained (1gb, 768mb, SE??)if she hits at the 460's origional price we could see sme real hurt go down next year.. but they NEED to save some space for the 570 which is my primary concern.. i pray to the emporer they dont end up cannabalizing their high end..

512mb ram gddr5

512mb VRAM? I think not. That would be going majorly backwards.

But when does it come out? My next upgrade will be dual 460s but I don't want to pull the trigger on those too early if the 560s are right around the corner.

Unfortunately with computers every time you buy is the wrong time to buy. People that wait for the 560 will be pissed to find out the 570 will only be so much more expensive or whatever more power and amd gets to counter however it wants, No word on the 6930 specs as of yet I believe.

Is the 6930 even on AMD's roadmap?

If they have to, they will put something between the 6950 and the 6870, or just flat out drop the price of the 6950 though.

No way they would do that for a 20% increase in performance. I'd be more inclined to think a increase in memory speed would be the more likely route, or less likely a bump up to a 384 bit bus.

Yeah, I agree. There's no way this card has either 512mb of memory OR a 512-bit bus. GTX 580 doesn't even have that. It's just not necessary yet with GDDR5.

This is a case where I definitely trust wikipedia. It's going to be a GTX 460 1GB with the full GF104 GPU enabled.

I bought my GTX 460 a few months ago and despite all these newer cards coming out... I can say that it doesn't bug me at all. The GTX 460 at $200 is a steal. Overclock it and it can perform just as good as some of the newer cards out there. I can't wait to SLi. I won't look at getting a newer GPU until 2012.

I KEEP HEARING THOSE F***ING NUMBERS! I gotta say it's my favorite CoD ever and also the best CoD ever.

Looks like Newegg gift cards are on the xmas list this year so I can buy 2 of these when they release. :P
