:O are you serious?!?!? Shogun 2 demo is 6GB!!!!

I had heard a bit about total war: shogun 2 and it seemed interesting, so i went to download the demo off Steam, only to see that it's a whopping 6GB. I think there's a fat chance I'll be downloading all that just for the demo. Has anyone here played the demo? Do you think that next gen games demos are all going to be that big? Post your thoughts!

Mostly I dl music, so its not too bad. Can only get like one steam game a month though....

Most countries have download limit. I live in NZ and I get 30 gigs limit per month. Thats for the household as a whole, so I am not the only one using it. Sometimes it takes me 2 month to download a game from steam after I buy it, 8 gigs per month for GTA 4... Sometimes I copy the game files from my friends after buying a game to save bandwidth. Currently got 5+ game download backlog.

There are not as many demos as before, and I think its partially because of the file sizes. Demo sizes can only go up, especially with improving graphics. Better graphics usually means largest file sizes. But 6 gigabytes is the largest demo I have seen and it is larger than many of the games I got installed now.

20GB is a huge demo.. surprisingly but i hope this game is actually worth playing. It sounds like a good game too...

hmmm. it's "only" 3,67GB outside of Steam, so you might wanna consider downloading it from somewhere else. i have no idea how Steam got it to 6GB...

We must know different people=) 10gbs is nothing with all the f2p games out there=p Only this week I downloaded Forsaken World (meh), MircroVolts (AWESOME), Saga of Ryzom, Mortal Online. Thats only a week and already over a limit as ridiculous as 10gb.
