i hear its about 1/2 of the original game or something? if so that would mean if you spent 100 hours... it would add another 50 for example.

not sure if its 1/2 though

Depending on how much you milk them for what they're worth, you should get atleast 20-40 hours out of them. Of course you should be able to stretch that out if you take time to explore every square inch and do every single quest.

If you're a big Oblivion fan, then by all means, it would be well worth it to pick up the expansion packs and play them to death. But if Oblivion wasn't very exciting to you, then it's not really worth the time and money to get the expansions because you won't see anything that'll pull you in....if Oblivion couldn't keep your attention by itself, then the expansions aren't going to help.

If you loved the original game then the expantion (Shivering Isles) is a good addition to your game but with your exploited character (level 98 is not possible without exploits using jail or damage spells) it will be very easy and take no more than 5-10 hours to complete. It adds a new landmass and new quests. Knights or the Round which was a collection of downloadable content was garbage imho but it does add a few quests here and there.

Yes, the Oblivion expansion worth it. Shivering Isles is about 15-30 hours, and the Knights of the Nine (If you consider it an expansion) is about 8 hours for the main quest, and the other quests that are included in the box edition of Knights of the Nine are about 1-3 hours.

But If you have to choose between Shivering Isles or Knights of the Nine, I would get Shivering Isles, it offers a lot more than Knights, and the island Shivering Isles takes place on feels completely different than the main land in Oblivion. The island looks more like something out of Morrowind, and I like that. :)

I am a level 80 in the original oblivion game. I recently got the expansion pack, and it really depends on what you are looking for. If you are tired of the original game but are looking for new content such as armor or weapons, this expansion isn't all that exciting considering that your own creations are probably better suited for your character and much more powerful. If you are just looking to kill time and do some extra quests, it would definitely be worth it. I started a new character and am exploring both Oblivion and Shivering Isle at the same time. To be honest, there isn't anything new, just some enemies that need to be killed and a god to please. If you are interested in just checking out the new quests, then this is for you, else, its not really that exciting.

3.5/5

Shivering Isles was choice. I enjoyed Knights of the Nine, but of the DLC that was packaged with it the only one that really got me interested was Mehrunes Razer considering it's the biggest dungeon in the game.

I don't think the nights of the nine is recommended as it's pretty short and you don't get much out of it but you should get shivering isles as it has at least 20-50 hours of content and a whole new land to explore

IMO notn is a waste. the only thing i actually liked from it was frostcraig sprire and the vile lair. and the vile lair was only because it's a one stop cure for vampirism. so far i liked si but my savegames got corrupted and i had to start over. that's the risk of over-modding i guess. :) it's too bad to. i had like 30+ hour into it.
