Right I have downloded the LPotD mod, but i don't know what i should do? Shall i just copy the entire LPotD into the dat folder or which specific files do i need to put it in there. Because i put the esp. file into the data folder but the book isn't in First Edition, my only install option has to be the manual install.

can anyone help?

I recommend downloading OMOD (Oblivion Mod Manager) and just turn the win.rar or 7.zip into an omod file...makes installing oblivion mods a lot easier.

I don't have the readme on my hands but you'll probably need to use WinRAR (or something equivalent) and extract the files to Oblivion/Data folder. That or the Oblivion root folder.
