Maybe I am missing something small or maybe its a bug but I have went through the mages guild and have reached the part where they have asked me to talk to bothiel. I have talked to the chick prior about the black soul gems and have been told to talk to Bothiel but the Orrerly says that it needs a key. I cant find anyone who will give it to me. I am pretty sure that I jumped through all the hoops I cannot get the key. I have read the walk-throughs and it says nothing about getting the key inbetween the two quest. any help would be appreciated. If Irlav oor whomever it is, is just suppose to give it to me there must be a glitch. thanks.
The orrery only opens if you've bought the mod for it - Bethesda cut it from the game, and released it later for a relatively expensive price (for literally five extra minutes of gameplay).
I really appreciate that. It was driving me crazy! To continue doing tasks for the mages guild you need to complete that though, right? Or is that the last task? If you got time to answer cool if not no big deal you already eased my mind a lot. Thanks again!
Botheil is in another part of the mages school. The orrery has nothing to do with the mages guild quest line. You can buy the official add-on to the orrery from bethesda, but it isn't worth it.
