I got a new computer and installed oblivion on it . It works perfectly exept for one thing.. I've read in forums that some people had sound cut out issues but this is not my problem. My problem is that lots of times , randomly , my footsteps and the sound of the weapon hit and sometimes the voices of the NPC's around me get all blury . I can hear them but its like the quality takes a big BIG hit . Example , I hit on a wall with my weapon usually 1 out of 4 hits will sound blurry and about the same with footsteps . It gets much worst lets say I come out of an interior and once I'm outside , every thing gets blurry .

I have a realtek intergrated 888 that's what is in control on my sound in my motherboard.

I patched the game , downloaded latest drivers for sound card and latest direct X patches . I also went in oblivion.ini and changed to sofware mode and no acceleration . NOTHING worked , I tryed the latest drivers to the oldest but no results ...

By the way this is the only game I beleive to have issues with sound.

My QUESTION is : Is there a solution for this ? or Should I by a Sound Card ??

THX for reading , plz post

I would recomend you get a new sound card. I went from onboard realteck AC97 and got a soundblaster Audigy SE for only £25. ($46) I noticed a huge improvement and I recommend you do the same. I used to have problems such as during combat, i couldnt allways hear my weapon but since i got the soundcard, it was great.
