Own both for console but looking to get one of them for PC and play with mods. I enjoy both games so the quality and amount of mods available is what I'm looking for in these games.

Oblivion has been out for a lot longer so it has way more mods...however they both have a huge selection.

Neither game is that good in my honest opinion, but as far as mods go Oblivion has more and better quality ones.

Definatly Oblivion has more mods to pick from though if thats what your looking for.

Oblivion by far has many more mods. Many of them enhance the play experience with better sound, graphics, and game mechanics, and others are completely new missions and game areas.

You won't be disappointed.

Fallout 3 can stand on its feet even without mods unlike Oblivion. But Oblivion has a sizeable range of mods catering for problems you have with the game and really amps up the sandbox nature of the game

I thought Oblivion was leaps and bounds better than FO3 in every aspect except for the quality of the main story :?

Don't go to moddb... go to the nexus websites for each.

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/

Everything you need, just look at the Files of the Month, or sort categories by descending Endorsements or Downloads.

I thought the fallout 3 main story wasn't very good, but the side quests were just pure gold!! On the other hand I thought the Oblivion story was all right, felt more epic (but then again I am fantasy RPG biased), but teh sidequests weren't very good at times....I mean...you can't become the leader of everything, it's just not something that should be allowed.

Modding wise Oblivion is better like others have said. Fallout 3 is getting there though, the community is picking up the pace and there are some nice effects mods, special homes, and custom weapons and companions out there.
