This should be my final post before building my PC, so an apology for the many topics I've created the past couple days!

I'm going to be getting this OEM harddrive along with a P35-DS3L motherboard. What do I need to buy to get the hard drive up and running? Would this SATA II cable be all I need? I've never bought an OEM part before, so I really have no idea.

The motherboard should come with all the cables you need. If you want a certain color or length cable you will have yo buy them your self.

Thanks for the clarification. I just read some reviews complaining about how this hard drive came with literally nothing else, not even a box.

That is not a bad thing, that is why it is OEM. You are just buying the HD, not paying any extra for stuff most people don't need. The HD will come wrapped in bubble wrap, with no screws, no nothing.

All I got with my OEM HDD was the hard drive wrapped in bubble wrap.

Yeah, your mobo should come with a cable. If not, you can just make a trip down to your local computer store for one.

thats how its suppose to be OEM means its just the hard drive and nothing else all you need is the sata cable which is already included with the mobo and some screws that should also be included with your case so you dont need to buy anything extra, same if your also buying an OEM dvd drive but the IDE or sata cable should come in the mobo also

stick with that hard drive looks cool.
