Same, the beta actually convinced me to pre-order. And yes I'm an old Diablo fan.

Will Diablo 3 be fully soloable? I have tried getting into the old Diablo games multiple times and kept running into monsters that had traits such as being completely immune to all physical or magical attacks, making one type of character viable by him/herself through the whole game. I tried finding a character editor so I could just make a perfect character so I could just breeze through and enjoy the story but the cheat market for Diablo is so ginormous that all the editors I came across were either malware or paid services to help you cheat in multiplayer.

Didn't play beta, or watch many videos, I blindly went into it with a large amount of faith/hope that blizzard could, and would deliver a wonderful gaming experience with Diablo III.

2 pre-orders. 1 CE, 1 normal. CE for my GF, so she can get the in-game exclusive goodies, cause she uses AMD gpus, which means no Ambient Occlusion for her. I have a GTX-570 so I get the AO... I feel it evens out a little bit more that way.

I didn't try the beta because I wanted to save the experiance for my first playthrough.

The changes they've made to the forumla seem to streamline what the community has already done. The removal of stats don't bother me at all as they only gave you the illusion of control over your character's development. If you didn't follow certain, cookie-cutter class builds, your character was going to be crap when you reached nightmare and hell difficulty.

They seemed to have solved this probably by eliminating the leftovers from the D&D style stats that used to be in every single RPG.

I watched the behind the scene.

I don't want to spoil anything but I am confident that this game will deliver after watching how they design dungeons, monsters, skill runes, and story-telling.

Of course, Blizzard once again set the bar for video-game CGI.

The level of details is just awe-inspiring.

Again, for those who care about the story, I will not spoil you.

Now, lets go back talking about the loots.

Since I am working a lot this week until Thursday, that day will be the earliest I can buy :( Huge Diablo fan and despite some reservations about the game after playing the beta, I walked away with a positive experience overall and thus, will be purchasing the game :)

Thank goodness a sticky is made, and I have to agree with what others said about the build system, actually...

Stats vs No Stats: As much as I love Attributes, I only love them when they are implemented right. Good attribute systems would be that in Fallout, Dungeons&Dragons and the likes, you know where your attributes are for most of the part static. I always thought that having attributes that scaled wildly not only ruined the core strengths of the system, but made it utterly silly. Stats in Diablo 2 felt like they were there for their own sake.

Skill System: While D3's system does not appeal as much to my inner min maxer like D2's Skill System. I personally feel the D3 system allows for more depth and possibly more viable builds. No longer does it seem to be as much about maxing your favorite Skill and its synergies and more about finding a set of 6 skills that work well together and to further customize them with runes.

Respeccing: I feel it is a welcome addition. As much as I miss the sense of permanency the previous system had, I do feel that rerolling your char because of one mistake is a bit unnecessary. I feel that the good outweighs the bad in this regard.

I hear some people whine about being unable to create a gimped char, but guess what you can still do that. Just pick skills and rune combos that synergize poorly and there you go, a garbage character.

If you had such problems, Diablo 3 is not the game for you.

Why not?

Because it'll be too hard, since it has the same mechanics that apparently were too hard for you on normal on the previous games. You can solo everything from normal to hell, but you need to actually do something not just click and watch monsters die and occasionally drink a potion.

Yes the game will be fully soloable, in D3 there won't be fully immune monsters, just reduced damage if enemy has resistances, that's one of the mistakes Blizzard did with D2 and they admitted it on their forums.

D3 runs on very different system unlike D or D2 so cheating and cracking the game will be almost impossible, unless you make private server that will be supper buggy, so don't worry about hacks, with RMAH in play Blizzard will do everything to stop them. Also why play solo when multiplayer is a lot more fun? I can't imagine myself playing singleplayer in D2, I would die from boredom in few hours.

Will Diablo 3 be fully soloable?Kell_the_Gamer

During the Blizzcon 2011 Gameplay and Auction House panel (its on Youtube, look it up) they said that Inferno would be fully soloable. And if Inferno is soloable, then the rest of the game is too.

I've been following the game very closely for years now and I have to say I think the stuff they removed from the game was for good reason. Spamming one overpowered ability, potion spamming, and end-game content only available for cetain classes are D2 mistakes that couldn't be remade for D3. Don't get me wrong, D2 is easily my most play game ever, but to say that it did not have faults (glaring ones at times) is innaccurate.

Diablo 3 website is already stuck in a lagging loop. xD I was trying to create my in-game sigil and the page just gets stuck in loading loop. Oh well, later I guess. Here's to hoping for a smooth launch.

I had to solo because everyone only wanted to rush. When I tried to rush with them I didn't know where to go or what to do so they would get mad at me and force me to leave. If I wanted to enjoy the game at my own pace and take the time to pay attention to the story I had to play by myself. Like World of Warcraft playing the game solo was indeed awfully boring, what WoW is fun when you're actually in a group doing something together so I hope Diablo but less grinding and no monthly fee unlike WoW. I don't plan to solo often in D3 but I would like the option to be there just encase.

I was convinced to try Diablo from a group of people talking about it in a leveling guild I was in at the time. They went on about how awesome the game was, how WoW was so dumbed down and how Diablo 2's combat was so deep it puts WoW to shame, etc. The games ended being nothing like what they said, I thought I was doing something wrong with I finally had a successful barbarian character going that only used two abilities. I guess I should ahd known since they were gushing so much about the games.... yet they were STILL playing WoW instead. They even said that Diablo'2 PVP was better and more balanced than WoW's. I went into Diablo with my expectations way too high.

I tried to pre-order on Best Buy but they were out... I never knew they could run out of pre-orders. I was really hoping to use my BB Gift card, but looks like I'll have to go else where. That, or maybe I'll check tomorrow. Unlikely they'll have some in stock since I passed by the store this morning and line was already long....

Bro. No offense, but fans have been waiting for this game for 10 years. The slight thought of a midnight launch would have them screaming and yelling on their way to any local store for midnight release. :P This game was going to sell out weeks before launch. Certain places still have them though.

Yea I know... I was actually just going to buy it myself a while back, but my sister knew I liked the game. She insisted that she buys it for my bday, which was last week. In attempting to pre-order, she realized that Best Buy has a weird pre-order policy where they only accept $10 deposit and didn't accept full payment. My sister wanted to pay in full, understandable since it wouldn't be much of a gift if I picked up the game at launch and still had to pay the $50~ balance... so she figured she just give me a gift card that would cover the cost. I appreciate the thought of course, but it didn't work out too well :(

Aww that sucks. A few Gamestop stores in my area (Los Angeles, California) are still taking standard edition pre-orders. Perhaps in your area too? Worth a shot. Disregard if you have already called them and asked.

You guys could also try preordering the game on amazon. They promise shipping on release date for only a buck so i think its worth it. The downside is that yor not going to get it at midnight :/

[QUOTE="Elann2008"] Bro.

Nah, I stopped relying on Gamestop/EB Games for PC games. lol Plus I'm keen to use the gift card for its intended purpose! I just 'pre-ordered' on BB online now to get the pre-order bonus. It worked out, shipping is free and will take 1-3 business days, so it's all good - assuming they don't run out of stock to fill my order.

Knowing my friends though, this 2-3 day delay mean they'd probably be at like lvl 20+ while I'm just installing. They can't go too far though, I called dibs on Monk and we agreed for me to be the designated healer. lol

Has anyone tried playing the beta on the lower level video cards mentioned? I have myself a geforce 8600M GT and an intel core 2 duo t7500@ 2.20 ghz (2 cpus). I can manage to play starcraft 2 on high but when there's multiple units on the screen my fps bogs down. Afraid that Diablo 3 will have similar issues considering my card is lowest on the list.

I went to sleep after dinner tonight, just got up now and I'm installing the downloaded game content. I have a few bottles of Coke ready to go. I'm going for 48 hours non-stop with a few breaks to eat. I'm going to watch the latest episode of Game of Thrones while I wait for the server to go live.

Sounds like it will be a blast. Too bad I have to work tomorrow, but after work, it's game on. The latest episode of Game of Thrones is nothing short of spectacular. I love the show.

The single greatest design change from Diablo II is the inclusion of seperate loot for each character in a party. No fighting for drops. I can't accurately express the feeling of relief after finding this out.
