Just found my copy of Pop Mech Dec 2001 in the closet. Not only is it touting the new fangled LCD displays (did not know how THICK a thin dispay was back then) it also shows a section on new technology. A 60 Plasma from Zenith in 2001 sold for $24,000.....yep...... Now you can get something close to that for 10x less. Thank God its the FURTURE!

Back in those days 64MB of RAM was still standard, nowadays it's 1GB.

I got my first PC LCD display in 2001. I happily paid 900$ for a 17 inch.

I wanted a LCD TV also but those were over 10 000.

My 17" Sony DVI TFT cost me over £350 about four years ago and now you can get DVI monitors for under £100.
