I just got a new pc, something that would make World of warcraft run like candy, yet i've been put into a position that requires me to give out my authentication key for the expansion; Burning Crusade... Does anyone know why they didn't want my authentication key for the game itself, and not the expansion?

I'm not exactly happy about spending40$ again for that damned key.(I need it to log into my account that had it before)

Where is the key located on my old pc? Can i find it there, because i cant find the key on ANY of the disks, and my box it came with might no longer be with me...

well it comes with the game so you DO have it somewhere, but it's probably in the registry. Do a search, or google it

otherwise, contact blizzard

had a similar problem when I got back into WoW for a while after the expansion. what I did was I went to EBGames and picked up the $2 WoW trial disc. I installed the trial, and then installed the expansion. the trial installs all of the original WoW, it's just got a 7-day subscription, so just update your account for a normal subscription once you install the expansion, and you lose $2 rather than $40, and you don't even have to waste 3 hours with tech support.
