I've still got alot of games with lots of replay value, BUY REPLAYABLE GAMES!

DoW, GeOW, CoH, Crysis, are some of the few of my "collection" that I've played over and over, that's not even the tip of the iceberg for me. Hell, I still play Hitman Blood Money lol, I guess I'm just creative when it comes to killing people.

Only thing I can think of that I'm waiting for in 08 besides the AC port, which I've played AC and it isn't good as the hype said it was gonna be. (imagine that.) is Left 4 Dead, that game sounds awesome, especially if you got a friend (or 3) to play it with ya. I've definetly already found like, 5 people who are dying to get their hands on it, even a girl, so she can play the girl character, and it won't be wierd hearing a male voice come from her voice chat lol.

Yeah, I'm a huge zombie fan along with my good friend, so even the new They Hunger looks cool...hope it's free!
My friend (same zombie friend) has AC and I love it...the storyline took me by suprise, actually. The 'memory' thing...I don't want to ruin it for anyone so hush hush on that.

I'm also looking forward to Splinter Cell Conviction, DMC4, and MGS4, Project Origin comes in 08 I think, correct me if I'm wrong, and hell, I don't even have a PS3 and I'm looking forward to playing MGS4, cuz the only guy I know who has a PS3 won the damn thing in a raffle! Definetly playing it at his house.

08 will be a pretty good year, unlike 07 where it's gonna be an amazing year and suck my wallet dry...witch it has.

Duke Nukem Forever? I was an embryo when that game was announced, and I fought WW1.

I'm skeptical about Duke Nukem Forever. I just can't help but wonder how it will be received by the American audience today with its level of sexual explicitness. Considering the Witcher was censored in North America for content like that, it's not hard to picture DNF having a hard time getting an M rating if it has content similar to DN3D.

On the other hand, maybe they'll bring back the REAL Duke Nukem, the one from Duke I and II. I honestly didn't like what they did to Duke in DN3D, turning him into a bastardized scumbag of his previous version. You don't have to add all kinds of filth to make a game with a cheesy character interesting - Serious Sam has proven that.

Duke in 3D is the MAN. I grew up playing that game, and Serious Sam was good as well. Not saying they are the best and taking their insights as your own is good, but The Witcher wasn't just banned for nudity...it had race-related issues and apparently something to do with rape? So I've heard...

That's the world we live in, though....filth is everywhere. I don't want my games 'dialed down' because such a small percentage of players don't like 'bad language.'

Pffft, please, he wasn't bad, but if you'd played the games before D3D, you would have wished he had stayed the same. He was the MAN back then without even needing to be a despicable lecher or cantankerous piece of white trash.

It may sound like I hate the Duke of D3D, but I don't. It's just... I was a really young kid when I played Duke I and II often, about 5-7, and I grew attached to him as a cool, tough character (when you're that young, it's hard to realize when a character is being cool in a cheesy way, so he was just plain cool to me). Then they went and turned him into some disgusting guy hardly worth admiring in any respect.

Don't get me wrong, Duke from D3D was cool. But not in a cool way, you know? If he had started out that way, it'd be fine, but it just wasn't right that they turned him into a different kind of person, and one that wasn't respectable either. I felt betrayed somehow.

Oh well. RIP Duke from I & II, I guess. Nobody seems to care about him...

(I was born cursed with a strong sense for cheesy stuff...I have to look away whenever Full House comes on...even as a kid). But why can't you just accept that he turned into what he turned into? Do you ALWAYS root for the good guy? Here, let me ask you these few questions...

Favorite movies? Gosh, I don't know. Lord of the Rings, Four Brothers, any Tony Jaa movie, Unleashed and some other Jet Li movies, Terminator 2... I'm sure there's others, but those are what spring to mind.

The only music I buy is Christian music. Now, hold on. I know that, coupled with my sig, immediately paints a picture of me as some strict Christian who doesn't like explicit content. I assure you that's not the case. I don't go to church merely because most churches bore me, telling me things I already know. I have no qualms with just about any explicit content in a game, with the exception of games like the uncut version of Leisure Suit Larry. Look at my game collection. Plenty of gory and explicit games that would make many Christians balk.

That said, I listen only to Christian music because little of the non-Christian stuff out there appeals to me, and I like to feel uplifted by the music I listen to. I do however listen to some instrumental music downloaded over the internet off of sites like Newgrounds and others. Anyway, my favorite music is anything DC Talk, the solo albums of the now-solo DC Talk members, GRITS, T-Bone, KJ-52... stuff like that.

I accept that they changed Duke Nukem as a character. I just don't like it. D3D Duke was cool, but not in such a way that I'd have the respect to go up to him and tell him that if he were a real person, whereas I would if he were the old Duke.

Putting aside the way that they changed him, I just plain don't like it when a character's personality is changed at all, period. That's just a no-no, building up a liking for a character and then suddenly turning them into another person. To me, you just shouldn't do that.

Again, I accept it. That's why I said RIP Duke from I & II.

Only read the first page so someone might have suggested these but: Forza Motorsport 2 (lots of RPG elements to have fun with), skate. (greatest skating game ever but not as satisfying as Tony Hawk's) and BioShock on the 360. All these three games are on the 360 but I saw you mentioning you don't have one yet. Buy BioShock for the PC then, you have a good enough PC to run it well.

Other games for other consoles and the PC would be:

Wii: Super Mario Galaxy and Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition.

PS3: Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Resistance: Fall of Man.

PC: Can't think of anything but Crysis.

I used Leisure Suit Larry as an example because the explicit content in it (speaking particularly of the uncut version) is all it uses to draw people to the game. It is its only selling point, its only attraction. That has no appeal for me. A game that has explicit content just for the sake of explicit content, and nothing else, is worthless to me.

I definitely see where you are coming from...some are worse than others and some aren't bad at all. A few bad apples don't always spoil the whole bunch. And as far as the majority of people being good? You sound just as bad as the people you are talking against. But hey, I don't agree with the majority of religion but if that's what people need to get through the day, then let them. I just don't see why we need to bring it into every facet of our lives: school, gov't, media, CENSORING GAMES :(. It pissed me off when a high school teacher in my school would only teach Creationism to his students instead of evolution because he believed 'evolution was crazy.' Yeah, living beings over millions of years slowly changing and adapting is INSANE compared to one person 'creating' everything in this living world...yeah, crazy right? Not my call, unfortunately but if it was...oh man..all bets are off! If that teacher was me, then I'd atleast show both sides if I truly felt the need to. This guy now planted the seed into feeble-minded kids because he thought he needed to and that only HIS beliefs are/should be right. To me, that's wrong. Answer me this...I'd like to know why when you tell someone that God doesn't exist or anything related to that, that person gets SOOOOO offended...yet when they say "Oh, you should Pray" or "I feel sorry for you that you haven't found Jesus" it's okay? It's the same thing..imposing self-beliefs onto others. Talk about a double-standard.

As for WhiteWorld, I'm not going to say anything to "defend my Christian beliefs" against him as many would. It won't help relieve what I see as a lot of hurt in his heart, it will just make him angrier at me and other Christians, and there is just no need for it as I'm secure enough in my beliefs to not be offended when others put me down for living the way (Jesus wasn't when people did it to him, why should I be?). All I can do is keep walking on it and hope others see me and feel the need to join me.

Hm. Hope that doesn't sound too preachy, I'm trying to make sure it doesn't. Oh well, guess there's no helping it if it does.

I'm not trying to start an argument or anything but I just want to put in my two cents. In most discussions that I've observed between "Christians" and "Others", the Christians always seem to be very rational and polite and even willing to take the other view into perspective. On the other hand, the "Other" party involved usually tends to be more aggressive and no matter how much evidence is thrown at them, they will still remain stubborn as a mule. But of course, there are always exceptions but I'm just stating the most common occurence.

Anyway, Far Cry 2 and Project Offset! (Again! haha But really go take a look at them!)
