Some old games are being remade, but not the way they were originally. Syndicate and X-Com just to name a couple. What games of old do you most desire to see remade with today's tech?
My votes go to the Wing Commander series and X-Wing/Tie Fighter.

Keep an eye out for SOL: Exodus and X-Rebirth.
I want to play RPGs like Ultima, Might and Magic, Wizardry, Fallout and Baldur's Gate with today's technology. I think Legend of Grimrock will cover my desire to play modern dungeon crawlers while Age of Decadence and Dead State will satisfy my needs to play Fallout-like RPGs. But unfortunatelly there's no Ultima and Baldur's Gate inspired games on the making (that I know of).
Check this out. ;) Wish you only had to manage 1 character and not 4... Oh wells. :([QUOTE="Mizeak"]
Dungeon Master 2 ;D

Although I don't know how well it would do on pc. I think it would be good for the consoles, if it was on pc and wasn't a horrible port I would be highly interested in it.
Also another series that I want to see make a comeback would be the Strike series (you know helicopter games) like Jungle Strike, Desert Strike, Soviet Strike.

x-wing and tie fighter NEED remakes. There are no good star wars games from the past 5 years!

X-wing and Tie Fighter, I agree, but there are some decent Star Wars games in the past 5 years, one is about to come out actually!
No, I mean like REAL star wars games that are good. Like, with fluid and skill based and exciting lightsaber combat involving parries and strikes from different angles, or cockpit based space combat with sim mechanics like power management and strategic strikes on big capital ships while your wingmen hold off enemy fighters. Or even another strategy game like Empire at War, where you get to feel the satisfaction of crushing a rebel outpost with an overwhelming force of star destroyers. All we get now are childrens' clone wars games, button masher action games, and an MMO with questionably art directed star wars graphics skinned over top of it. I know a lot of people love these last games I just mentioned, but it's time for a real star wars game that is genuinely good. Somebody out there has to feel me on this one.

You can get cockpit view in the battlefront games.

What you mean, is a Star Wars game like how you want. As that description would be more accurate.
I agree I would like a new type of Star Wars game, or even in the style of something older like Dark Force rising, or Jedi Knight, with todays graphics and engines would be great. I myself cannot wait to get a hold of my pre-order of SWTOR.
But to say that none of the Star Wars games out in the last 5 years, or coming out, are decent, is pure subjective opinion my friend.
I am glad you mentioned Empire at War, I forgot I had that game, I wouldn't mind playing through it again.

Of course I want a star wars game that is the kind of game that I want. And of course my opinion is subjective. All opinions are subjective. I just want a good Star Wars game, that's all.

Like I said some of the previous ones were "good", maybe not for you, but they were "good". I have a lot of excellent ideas for Star Wars Videogames that I could call "good" too, though I doubt they will ever come out. (who knows we could have some of the same ideas, or close to)So far I think SWTOR will be that good Star Wars game for a while for me, maybe not, we will see, but I am gonna give it a real shot.
Wouldn't mind seeing an HD remake of one of the Rogue Squadron games either, those were pretty fun to play, I must say.
What they need to make is a Star Wars game in first person again that plays kinda like Skyrim. I would love to have first person lightsaber wars with todays textures and graphics.ZOD777And Kinect, yes? :P
And Kinect, yes? :P LOL if you are talking about the latest game that is in the works. That game is looking like a gimmick game, not a real worthwhile title.[QUOTE="ZOD777"]What they need to make is a Star Wars game in first person again that plays kinda like Skyrim. A single guy...Makes you wonder why Bethesda didn't just include Kinect functionality with the game.

The game is actually already out now. Last I heard they had pushed back the release to work on a few things. It is more of a game for kids. There is no real freedom of movement, rather you have to do certain movements to advance to the next set of enemies. I would rather play something like Jedi Knight or a FPS closer to Battlefront or Dark Forces than this junk. Here is a bit of gameplay if you haven't seen it yet..
