Star Flight, Shadowrun (and not the piece of work MS is cranking out), Mechwarrior, Magic Carpet, Ultima 4-7 (maybe even 2 and 3 too), AutoDuel, Syndicate, X-COM: UFO Defence, Horde, Out of This World/Flashback.X-COM: UFO Defense is kinda being re-done - see UFO: Extraterrestrials (PC). I'd love to see X-Wing re-done - that game was amazing. wurn: Yes 100% to Deus Ex! DE:IW was horrible, but the original was a classic - way ahead of its time.
EDIT - OOO! How could I forget Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender and Full Throttle

Great old games shouldn't be remade, they were perfect and dont want them to be ruined.
Why not remake **** games and make them good?
Fair point - these games were great, and there is a chance they could be terrible re-makes. From my perspective, though, I'd love to see a DX10 X-Wing that uses today's technologies to make the games even better. I guess you could argue that's a sequel rather than a re-make, but I'd love to see it anyway!Great old games shouldn't be remade, they were perfect and dont want them to be ruined.

I think I answered to one of these topics before, but here goes my answer. Id love to see Xcom 1 and 2 remade. I know that UFO Extraterrestrials is coming out, but its not the same. Its just a "spiritual successor". I want to fight sectoids, ethereals, mutons, reserach alien guns and technology so I can build those cool ships that kicked the UFO´s butt.
Besides that, the whole Wing Commander saga would be just awesome too!!! And on a final wish, I would also like to see all the Mechwarrios games remade (except for MW3, which was the best imo)...
Star Flight, Shadowrun (and not the piece of work MS is cranking out), Mechwarrior, Magic Carpet, Ultima 4-7 (maybe even 2 and 3 too), AutoDuel, Syndicate, X-COM: UFO Defence, Horde, Out of This World/Flashback.I second X-COM: UFO Defence, the versions they've made since have been garbage.

Hm...hehe Beasts and Bumpkins, nobody will know about this, it was a Game with a GREAT Potential, only bad thing is that it was released by some ALMOST Unknown Company, and it didnt made it to the USA, anyways I think this Game deserves to be made again, because it was the only Game I played for like a year and a half, and I think now with today's Technology, Old Games that are REMADEÂ will probably offer a LOT more then it offered first, so even with Doom, it will offer quite a lot new places, weapons, monsters etc, and like Ive seen in Doom 3, Graphics have improved a lot more.
What old games do you think should be re-made?
Golden Axe, Star-Control 2, Micro Machines, there are so many, which do you want.
PS I'm talking about some old games like from the 90's

Golden axe is being remade for the ps3 and 360 i seen the vid it looks great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIP-gLts4kA&mode=related&search=
Aces Over the Pacific:
One of my favorite flight sims ever made. You could do regular campaigns and instant action as a dogfighter, torpedo bomber, or land attack pilot, but the real fun parts were dogfighting the aces. It was a blast getting into the seat of a F4U Corsair and then taking on Japanese and American aces. The AI in this game was years ahead of its time; aces would actually know their plane, so if they were in a super maneuverable Japanese fighter, they would take you down to 2000 feet and outfly you, whereas if they were in a high-altitude fighter like the P40 they would force you to fly higher where many planes wouldnt have enough power to compete.
In the update, I would love to see what they could do for the AI, and of course graphically the game would be stunning.
Deus Ex:
I know, I know, its only a few years old but I would love some mod team to take the FEAR engine (great engine for dark, atmospheric environments) and remake Deus Ex in its entirity. I play Deus Ex at least five times a year and if it got a graphic overhaul I would just love it.
Longbow 2:
One of the top helo sims ever, nuff said.
Tie Fighter:
One of the greatest spacelfight sims ever created. A remake with awesomely rendered cutscenes (although the animated cartoon cutscenes of the original are pure classic) and a next-gen graphics engine would be awesome. Can you just imagine those beautiful green lasers flying towards an oblivious X-Wing in Dx10 glory, then blowing it up in a zero-G fireball that lights up our cockpit? Well, I cant imagine it cuz it would be too awesome to comprehend SO WE NEED A REMAKE DAMMIT!
Deus Ex (yes, again).
The first two Thief Games.
Both System Shock games.
Baldur's Gate series and Icewind Dale series.
Planescape: Torment.
Also i would LOVE to see newer versions of the old Quest series that Sierra made back in the day, you know, King's Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory and so on. The Myth Series could need a remake as well.
Dungeon Keeper 1&2.
Fallout 1&2.
I think that's enough for now :D .
splatterhouse
can you imagine how depraved a splatterhouse game would be running in unreal 3.0? man, that would just be awesome...
i'd love to see a new cannon fodder (it looks like the psp is actually getting one!) a new theme park (the original, untouched game in a new engine) and maybe a new speedball game
A-S_FM
cannon fodder and splatterhouse are great choices.
nothing needs a remake like tie fighter though.

I don't really think old games should be made over as it will be hard to live up to the original, but I would not mind seeing a sequel to the following (I know some of these are in the making allready)
UFO X-COM, Jagged Alliance, Star Control, Fallout, Fallout Tactics, Cybermage, Strife, Master of Orion (the 3rd one doesn't count!), Soldier of Fortune, Chaser, Deus Ex, Max Payne, System Shock (Bioshock might do:)), Metal Fatique... okay I better stop now:)
