Hey guys,
I just built a new pc, and i have the old sata hard drive from my previous PC, as the SECOND non OS hard drive(but it does have an OS installed on it). So just want to be able to use it for storage.

My question is, will i screw up the data on the old hard drive? I have tried to google this but there is no info on this. The only info i could find was if you try to run the old hard drive and os on a different m-board.

Thank you for your time.

So what your trying to say is that this second "old" hard drive has data on it right now like pictures or movies and you want it to be on ur new pc as a storage drive?.. if so it will not harm the data on the hard drive if you hook it up on ur newmb .. It will just be called F drive or something and it will be a big storage drive and your C drive which is your new one will be the one with the OS... your data will not be harmed
