What do you do with your old pc games when you're not playing them, assuming you have a big collection?

....Put them away?

I'm curious... What do you do with yours?

Edit: Oh, if your referring to PC games only, hard drive space, installing ect. Then I'll usually keep any games that didn't bore me & that I think I might come back to installed, because of my habit of losing the disks. Then again, I wouldnt consider my PC game library to be massive.

I have a shelf I put them on and they just sit there collecting dust. As for hard drive space i delete the stuff I haven't played in a while and put the save games in a folder in My Documents.

Let them collect dust, or hand them into a shop for money/credit if I know I won't ever play it again.

i keep em, build up a collection, firstly becuase pc games sell for hardly anything second hand and a lot wont work online when they have been reigstered once... secondly i always find that when i sell a game i have the need to play it again... i hate that so much!

I let them collect dust or trade them with friends for other games. I rarely trade in games, although I've done it around 5-10 times for console games. I'd never trade in a PC title, though!

Thanks guys for your opinions. It's sad to know that there's nothing much you can do about old pc games you no longer play other than look at them and just appreciate having a big collection.

I uninstall them (because somehow I managed to use up my entire 240GB HDD and I need all the space I can get till I get an external...) then put the game on my shelf.

Occasionally I look at them and think 'Hmmm...Thief/Thief2/American Mcgee's Alice/Shogun: Total War. I could play that.' but then I remember 'No, it doesnt work right on my computer and I cant be bothered fixing that.'

My thoughts exactly.

In my case though, there really aren't any old games that I don't play. I know they won't work on modern PCs, but that's why I have a Commodore 64 and 3 PCs from different time periods (1996, 2001, 2007) connected and ready to play. I know, no life. :D

Well, I just put them away and collect. It's not really worth selling them for $1.50 a piece. Plus, there are a few times when I have the urge to play a game again. I just installed and played Jedi Knights: Dark Forces II the other day :P

Not by mainstream standards.

Life,

by the mainstream's standards! (version 2.101b)

"Do nothing until you're 12, then get drunk and party for no apparent reason and be a 'rebel' until you're 25, then marry someone and have a family, then feel free to die ASAP kthxbye."

I prefer this life, though. :P

I have a nice collection of old games that I used to install and play every once in awhile. Now, most of them won't play on Vista, so they just sit in the back of a shelf. Maybe one day I'll get a junky computer running Windows 98 so I can relive the experiance of playing Bladerunner or Nox.
