I was just curious if anyone else here remembers the old days of text and ansi BBS games.

L O R D
Planets: TEOS
Tradewars 2002
Barren Realms Elite


All of these just prove you don't need graphics or even sound to have one heck of a game.  Anyone else remember any fun DOOR games?

I remember these games

Damn Legend of the Red Dragon was cool, and Planets was amazing as well.  I used to have these 2 on my BBS even :D

But the best of all was Tradewars. I still love that game. Ogame is very similar to TW but I personally dont think it is as good

Barren Realms I never got into though I have to say..

I remember these games

The BEST was TradeWars, I agree! I have been making TradeWarsFB for use on Facebook.com and need more users to test it out. I need feedback on bugs, exploits, new ideas, change ideas, etc... Come play and help us out! http://basolo.no-ip.org/tradewars

Yeah I remeber those old games. There are still quite a few new MUDs being created but to be honest once you get 3d graphics its hard to go back to text games.
