I have a few old games I want to get back into, but they were made for Win.95/98 back in the day. They won't run on XP as I have it right now. Titles like Half life, King Pin, No One lives forever, Etc. Is there anything I can do to get my old games running again?

Half-life 1 and no one live forever should run on winxp. Try the compatibility mode.

Half-Life and No One Lives Forever work fine for me under WinXP. Make sure you patch them to the last patches that were released for those games.

You could try running Kingpin under DOSBox, if it won't run natively under XP.

The only games I can't get to run properly on my current rig are Thief 1, System Shock 2 (it runs until it gets to the first ship level then crashes), and Aliens v Predator 1, where the graphics go really screwy for some reason I can't fathom.

For older games like Heretic, Hexen, Doom, Doom 2, you should try one of the engine mods like Doom Legacy, which will run all of those games in higher res with better effects.

Old DOS-based games like Eye Of The Beholder, Betrayal At Krondor, Lands Of Lore, Ultima Underworld, etc., etc., all run fine under DOSBox.

Weird. All three of those games work fine for me in XP. Try patching to the latest version, and try using compatability mode.
