thats alittle bit of an unfair statement, they brought the 2007 version back due to popular demand, and its much more fun than the current game i believe.
Haven't played that game since around 2008, it was fun when I had no money and time to kill but it wore off after a while and haven't looked back since. I tried logging on there just now and it says I haven't logged on in over 2000 days lol. The game sure looks different though from what I remember.
As notalgic as it is, I wouldn't touch that would a 20 foot pole
It's pretty bad when you have rlease an old server version of your game because even you know the current state is horrible.

How is that pretty bad? At least the recognize that some people didn't want the changes they implemented and provided the option to go back, unlike most other developers.

How is that bad? Are you serious? It means they spent countless hours and money making changes no one liked and in order to stop from losing thier income they had to revert to an old version of the game. They didnt do this because of their fans, they did it because they had to in order to stay afloat.
