Does stereoscopic 3D need a special monitor or TV? I'm aware that RealD3D requires some special features on your TV, but could I run stereoscopy 3D on my regular ol' LCD?

Wouldn't it work with a 60 hz one, and just your max fps would be 30? Or is that completely wrong?
[QUOTE="Nibroc420"][QUOTE="Adam_the_Nerd"]think it requires 120hz refresh rate. Yes it does.So if you have 120Hz monitor or TV you can watch 3D movies, games? Yes it does.So if you have 120Hz monitor or TV you can watch 3D movies, games? Doesn't it have to specifically say it's a 3D capable monitor /TV? You would need. Nvidia 3d glasses kit. LCD with 120hz refresh rate. PC with recent Nvidia GFX card.[QUOTE="Elann2008"][QUOTE="Nibroc420"] think it requires 120hz refresh rate.not_wanted

I see these new TVs that are advertised to be 3D capable while there are models with 120, 200 or 600Hz that are not mentioned to be 3D capable.[QUOTE="Elann2008"] Yes it does.Nibroc420
Can you play 3D games and watch 3D movies on them? What kind of glasses do you need?
Sorry this is kind of off topic but I would appreciate it if someone would explain.:P
You wont be able to use 3d vision with a large hdtv that is 200hz,/600hz etc. This is because these tv's do not accept a 120hz signal. They accept 60hz signal and use techniques to refresh the screen that many times. For example, a pc game will be showing only 60 fps even though its being output at 120fps. Although the tv is refreshing 200 time per second you will still only see 60 true frames.
You can use a 3d hdtv with nvidia 3d play. This outputs to 3dtv's and converts the signal to a method of 3d the tv willrecongnise and display as 3d.
