OMG Empire: Total War.

I didn't know there was another. I am a big fan of these games. And you can now battle with ships! I really cant wait for this game. Finally PC gets some good games. i dont think they have said a release date but its most likely to be in the first half of 08. Which is great! (fingers crossed)

im sorry for the PC finally getting games statement. But when you compare them to the consoles games PC doesn't really have much exclusives. Wheres GTAIV or MGS4 or SSBB or the PC?. They have good games just not a whole lot. But PC is better IMO still.DarxPhil3 games. :lol:
Geez those screen shots of the naval battles look insane! I love pirate games and while this isn't one per say I've never seen anything like it. It'll be interesting how they incorporate firearms into a series that has never had them before. Krall

Yeah, Empire looks awesome. And I think it's going to be very successful for CA - including America (or the 13 colonies, anyway) and making the gamesimpler (CA has such an abundance of talent that the simplification will be streamlining, but not dumbing down).
I think it's going to be much more popular than previous TW games, especially in America.
I hope that CA keeps running down the timeline (depending on how well they can make more modern combat work as TW games), and then goes right back to the beginning and gives us something like Earth: Total War, which plays out like Civilization, only with real time battles. That would be crazy awesome.

You more right then wrong, but I don't recall seeing firearms in Rome, although I didn't play it much. :P
I just hope that for the strategic map, they get back to FUN as in the MTW 1 and expand from there...rather then get into micromanagements of hell. I still play Medieval Total War 1, not the 2nd, not Rome, but the 1st. The strategic map is just that much more enjoyable (I never play the real time battles so...). :P

The Frenchs and the Spanish where in America before the Brits, so I hope they will include more then the 13 colonies. Canada, Louisianna andsouth america.Maybe inlands province could be harder to rule (great lakes area) and have more revolts or something, but I really hope they don't put the 13 colonies as if it was the center of colonisation, since it wasn't. Maybe include a few islands here and there...Australia? Some southern Africans countries (again inland can be quite unruly) and maybe some hotpoints in Asia?

If you get all of those games they require multiple consoles. Not only that, but Gears of War 2 is not confirmed for anything and Devil May Cry 4 is coming to the PC. How do you know those games are good when they aren't even out yet? DMC is not that great on PC IMO. Gears of War 2 is confirmed just look at 360's list on its front page. PC has does have some games but just not as much IMO. Well it all depends on whether or not you are getting your money's worth. Sure some people might just be able to spend a lot of money like it's nothing, but not everyone can. I have a fairly expensive PC and a Xbox 360, but the Xbox 360 was pretty much a waste of money. If I had known that it would be collecting as much dust as it does then I wouldn't have purchased it. Thats probably why you dont play your 360.^^ PC will always be better in hardware but if there were as much games as the hardware they put out almost every week. I would be swimming in PC games right now. Don't you ever get tired of a new motherboard or video card announced almost all the time?. I wish there was a new game announced for all the times they unveil hardware. PC gamers get blinded my there own hardware most of the time.

lol, i wouls take any one of the 25 games i bought this year over gta, mgs or ssbb or any other console game. anyways this year also had a tota war game- med. total war kingdoms.

Whats your guys system specs?. I can't wait for Empire. I think my system can run it. Based on how good i can run the old ones. I want a better Video card tho 8600 GTS just doesn't cut it sometimes.:cry:

unless you want to play at max or something i don't think you will have no problem running with your system. any ways my system is somewhat like yours except i have 2 8800GT

A new piece of hardware can be just as interesting as a new game. It's a new piece of technology, something capable of things that other hardware wasn't, that has new designs to read about and understand. There are PC gamers out there who like PC's for being PC's, not just because of PC games. They're not blinded, they just have interests in more than one aspect of the PC.
