OMG!!! I just discovered M&B Warband!!

Yeah im in shock of how awesome this game is, Mount and Blade Warband that is its really addicting, i never thought such game existed! So much fun, i kind of felt that $30 bucks is kind of rought but after playing it money well spend! What do you guys think ?

I played the demo of the original, thought it was a neat idea but this was a while ago (I think when it was sorta free, wasnt it?).

Has it changed much? The concept really appeals to me (almost seems like medieval ArmA II or something lol)

Its a great game but i always lose interest and go back to warcraft or starcraft.

The combat is dope I must say. Nothing like it. I feel like William Wallace chopping dudes heads off in the middle of a 300 person battle:D

It looks too similar to the firt one for me to buy it anytime soon, but the 1st was brilliant, not just for the core game but the mods keep reviving it, im going through a Starwars Mod for it at the moment.

just bought it the other day and loving it. never played the original. Combat is great fun but the missions are boring so I'm going down the conquer all path which is very challenging. My army kicks ass! My only gribes are the fact my character is a complete wuss really and struggles unless on horse back. When seiging a castle he got knock unconcious when there was only about 10 enemy left to my 70 and the game made us retreat because of it...annoying! Another is how lame the archers are.. I don't think they're powerful enough. I lined up 200 archers on top of a hill against 200 infantry (instant battle) who had to try charge them from miles away and only about 20 men died before they got to the top of the hill. They should have better AI where they fire all together and at different projections. I think being able to have your other heroes have their own armies and you control them would be a massive leap forward.

I own the original, I'll wait till this one is on sale to try it out. Too many games on backlog that I have to get through before Red Dead Redemption comes out next month.

I remember there was a pretty cool LotR mod, but that ended up wrecking my game. :/

The original M&B was always a game I have kept an eye on mainly du to its freeform and open world gameplay. Tried the demo once I despite not getting instantly hooked I am still convinced that I really might like this game.

Btw, do all the mods which were developed for the original M&B still work with Warband (like the Star Wars Mod, 1257, Sword of Damocles etc)?

1257 is already converted to WB, and yeah, more and more mods are being added all the time. It will take some time for some of the larger mods to make it over though...Renevent42

It's a great game yes, it was a giant surprise for me at first and i'm gonna keep an eye on their future titles for sure. For $30 you cannot go wrong with this game.

As fun as it is, there seems to be so much possibilities for this type of gameplay it's not funny. I would like to see deeper mechanics and customization outside battles. Maybe more differences in the political aspect of the game, customization of troops from within the game would be very nice when you start your own nation.

I've bought 2 copies of the first one, and while it is indeed awesome, the multiplayer alone isn't $30 awesome. Once the price drops a bit I'll get it for sure.guynamedbilly

I got it off Steam last week. Really cool game. I'd love to see a Roman/Greek warfare mod for it.

Well after i got banned on the forums for saying Hello to someone i kindastopped playing the game and refuse to buy the expansion. Games not bad though for it's mods. The Forum Moderaters are **** though.
