Ok so i just bought call of duty 4 i put it on the dvd drive and it dosent read omfg and i cant return it cuase its a pc game everything else works except this omfg!

does the drive read other disc besides that one? and when you say it dosnt read it does it give you and error? or does the drive not spin or what exactly happens need more info to help

it spins and evrything but says please insert disk it reads everything else fine i heard it was something to have to do with copy right protection cuase i have a cd/dvd rw drive

it is the disc protection, and its a royal pain in the ass for many users (including me) that bought it legit. Make sure the disc is perfectly clean, make sure the drive is clean, all you can really do is take it out and put it back in over and over until it spins up then you are good to go, luckily mp doesn't require the damn DVD.

Another trick I found works more often with these disc protection crap is to leave the disc in the driver and restart the computer, seemed to work a few times.

If it's a copy protection problem, then you'll probably have to uninstall any virtual drives or disc emulation software on your PC (if you have any).

And this isn't Infinity Ward's doing, it says the warning about copy protection and some CD drives on all the games since, like, '04
