I realize it was actual gameplay. I'm always a bit worried about getting hyped for a game and then being dissapointed, so I try and keep my expectations realistic. It has the potential to be one of the best games of 2009, I'll say that much.

Looks ok. I don't get what's all the excitment, I don't see anything revolutionary... Looks like yet another strategy game to me :S Higher end graphics but not worth the OMGWTFBBQ IMO (judging just by the trailer).MasterYevon

that pirates mmo has detailed naval warfare... but only like 1v1 ships... not 20v20 frigates... this game is full of EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game is called Pirates of the Burning Sea... I have never played but I have seen some gameplay vids... there is one...

How many Total War games have you played?

I'm curious how a TBS/RTS Hybrid featuring naval warfare looks like "yet another strategy game"

They have avoided putting slavery even they did no one would care becuase its not a title high up their where people would complain.

We would all know that empire total war would be a looker lets hope the gamepaly is better thn ever.

I haven't seen any videos of Empire yet, and I'm not going to watch any (I'm saving myself for my wedding night), but I would like to point out to all of you, if you aren't aware, that the Total War games are amongst the best looking of all time, Medieval II is arguably the second best looking game after Crysis, and Creative Assembly has forgotten more about making games than most developers will ever learn.

CA makes excellent - and excellent looking - games and they really don't have the mainstream support they deserve. I hope everyone impressed by this video will be buying a few dozen copies of Empire early next year to support one of the PC's greatest and most loyal developers.
