on my laptops performance

hey guys i have a sony vaio with ati 4650 512mb gddr3, core 2 duo 2.53ghz,4 gb ddr2 ram and iam running far cry 2 in direct x 9 mode at 1280.720res and mostly high settings ,without AA and vsync.does this mean my laptop is functioning well with the latest games and can i run the latest games somewhat smoothly. average fps 31.11 for farcry 2(highest 50.01 lowest 27.86).op sys-vista HOME premium

youll be able to run most games ok, at high-ish settings

but just to be safe id try out the demo's for games before you buy them

just about every game out there has a demo

Yeah, you should be alright for pretty much everything. Even if you have to turn settings down on some games, you'll definitely be able to play them.
