I just got a new rig with 2 GTX 260s in SLi under Vista-64. my CPU is E8500 and my memory is at DDRII-800MHZ, my motherboard is 780i SLi.

I bought this whole thing in China so there's no freaking 15% tax :).

but I've been looking at many chinese forums and I saw impossible speeds out of some reviews they posted..... I was thinking if these people are just stupid enugh to have PSed all those screenshots.

Example: http://game.ali213.net/thread-2194602-1-1.html

if you can't understand, this guy got a Spider platform with quad-core AMD CPU and ONE HD4870. and he ran Crysis at freaking 1920X1200 16XQAA everything at VeryHigh and got an average of 17FPS!

I tried to run the same thing at 1680X1050 and I got an average of 13FPS! how is that ever gonna be possible? at least I have some extra videomemory don't I?

I saw another insane review too where a guy using ONE HD4850 running crysis at 1280X1024 with no AA at like 30FPS, and that's everything at VeryHigh. that's like not much slower than my SLi. What the hell is going on here I thought 4870 is just a tiny bit faster than GTX260!

if you look at this, GTX260 in SLi absolutly kill any ATi Cards in low resolution...

It's getting better, the Catalyst 8.8 beta driver boosted very high DX10 5-10fps on dual HD 4870s for me. Averaging 30-40fps 1920x1200, dips into the 25fps zone sometimes, but usually stays above that.

That's old. With 8.8, ATi GPU's perform quite better then what we see here.

he'll have turned off every program which wasn't needed to get those results, crysis was built for nvidia so i doubt it's really optimized for crossfire

Ati cards handle high levels of anti aliasing better
