So guys are you excited or do you not care at all? :D

Im hyped for it, I was also hyped for it at ps3 release.
Unfortunetly the Low framerate/tear along with the jaggies made it unplayable. Managed 10 hours before trading it in.
But I will be happy with 60fps at 1080p with all the bells and whistles. Been a long damn wait!
I'm mildly excited for it. I already played it on 360 so it won't be new to me, but I am looking forward to seeing the graphical improvements. I really just want to start it up, I don't know how much playing it will chip into other games I currently play and my backlog. I'm sitting here finishing schoolwork and watching the clock because all I have been playing lately is Dota 2 and DS1. Will be nice to get a little GTA in my life since it's been awhile since I had my 360.
Someone needs to form a pc gamespot crew. I'll join in a heartbeat.
Played it on ps3 through component cables instead of hdmi(lost sound on samsung tv until I figured out what was wrong), and it looked like utter turd. Can't wait for high settings 1080p 60fps glory.

I still find it hard to believe that people are willing to pay FULL PRICE at LAUNCH for a game that's nearly 2 years old.

What's wrong with people buying a game they really enjoy?

I would still buy Red Dead Redemption on PC for full price if I had the chance to.
It doesn't matter how many years have passed, it's the overall experience that matters.
People didn't pay full price for Dark Souls? yes they did and at full price too for that lazy ass crappy port.
@PredatorRules: Waaa? Mine is only 53MB
My update is 226mb.. why has everyone got different file sizes lol
different regions? different secuirity updates? LOL
My god, it's 2am right now and if this will occur to me, it's nighty night for me

Not against buying the game, against supporting Rockstar charging full price for a 2 year old product
If you close steam and open it again you will be greeted with a message from Rockstar. They apologise as some people cannot get the game to run due to their windows usernames having special characters. If your username is just your name I think you should be okay otherwise you may have to wait for a fix.

Most people i know cant even download the 350MB update. It goes really slowly like 10kb/s then resents often so you have to download it all over again.

Pretty much a remaster IMO, and they've been pretty popular as of late lol (although I do agree with you, but I did get it on sale for $45).
It's not really a remaster since 60fps is standard on PC.
They haven't really included anything extra and it's a 2 year old game.
It should have been like Alan Wake and gone at half the price.

Mine downloaded at a consistent 400kb/s and now it says (unpacking)

And that's why companies get away with it.... because GAMERS support it.

Damn even that would be nice. At this rate it is going to take me longer to download this update than it did the 60GB game.

Well the update has finished downloading, but its estimating 15 minutes to unpack with a 'busy writing to disk' message. I guess that means installing or something

Hey, if a game is excellent and it's well polished PC version, I do not care about price tag, especially when I didn't had the chance to play the game since I do not own a console.
Do you prefer copy paste crap every year for full 60$? CoD for example?

Well you SHOULD care about price tag. The PC version of Alan Wake was a perfect port/version, but they had the decency to release it cheaper since the product had been out for a couple of years.
It's not about the state of the port, it's about not releasing the product together with the console versions with absolutely no valid excuse.

Then don't buy it. I'll have fun and get my $45 worth.

It's evident that they have been working on the PC version since the original versions were released. One guy even found a file referring to the PC platform hidden within the PS3 versions data files. They've been working on it for a long time and I am glad to know it's the same team that ported Max Payne 3. I'm sure this game is worth every penny (even though I'm a steam sales addict) I will spend money if I believe the developers deserve it.

So you think releasing a product 2 years after the console versions (when they could have released it together or a few months apart), AND charging full price they "deserver" the money?
WOW.... no wonder developers do what they want these days.
Not trying to be a party pooper. Game looks like great fun, and hopefully the port is optimized.
It's just that I see PC Gamers complain about things a lot less important than this. We should have (ask for) standards.

They made a game that I want to play and I know I will get my moneys worth out of. So i bought it and there's nothing you can do about it.
But while you're dishing out financial advice, should I remodel my kitchen? I'm afraid the amount of work it takes wont be worth the increased value.
