To me it seems that SWTOR is just another lets get cash and not provide for the players getting what they paid for.
EA/Origin is doing the same thing on alot of other hyped games that as soon as they get theirs they drop the ball and run.
The concern is not to actually give players what they need but just enough to bleed them dry and for that I do hope SWTOR fails.
The publisher is to blame not the devs really cause they just do what they are told.
I mean for the money they spent to develop and all the marketing, the failure of the product is just sad. Comparing it to other MMO's is wrong it stands or falls on its own.
The competition is great for the money and publishers should know that giving players what they want will keep them coming back,
but for all the input that was put into this it doesn't seem to be reaping the reward that was expected.
If EA supports this product like the others then expect less for what you pay for.
The business model for the response is to go f2p and by the looks of it before 4th quarter returns or come out with a lame expansion
for another $40 that should have been just a patch/update giving what should have been given at release.
A added bonus the pay for in game stuff will be short coming to milk the crap out of the die hard player support base (again for stuff that should be free to subs).
