ok so thx to whoever answered my last topic, so im upgrading even more this time. tell me what you think:

- Intel Core 2 Duo e8600 4.4 ghz

- EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

- Patriot eXtreme Performance 2GB 24-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

- PC Power & 750W Power Supply

- GeForce 8800GTX 512MB (I'm going to have 2 of these video cards working at the same time!)

Don't know the HD space yet, but I will probebly get 500gigs or more, and I will add another gig or ram later on.

did you already buy the rig? or planning to? If you havent bought it already, change the motherboard. the 680i is previous gen, get either a 750i/780i/790i if you want SLI or a P45/X48 if you want crossfire. Other than that, looks good.

I've been out of the loop for a while, but since when has there been a 512mb 8800gtx?

If you haven't already bought the parts, upgrade the mobo and go with an e8400 and just overclock it. There's also better cards available than the 8800gtx.

ye its basicly been bought already, why you think with the 680i i wont be able to run crysis on high graphics or what? because i really dont care if it gets old in a year or two, as longs as i can run all these new games on high graphics, i think thats plenty to keep me busy for some time.

besides im getting all of this for 7 bills and last time i checked, thats a good deal.

Why only 2GB of RAM though? This is a great rig for gaming.. but 2GB is a slap in the face. You can easily buy 4GB of quality RAM for less than $100. There's no excuse.

of course, but theres good ram and then theres bad ram. if i run windows XP on 2 gigs, it should be fine for now. id rather get good ram for higher price then something cheap.

Why even bother buying a dx10 video card and then run it on XP?

I'm not to sure about that, for what i know off the 8800GTX was ended, sems funny they should start a new produktion on such an old card. (2years+) All the 8800GTX iv'e seen have 768mb.

...only thing i can think of is that it's a typo 8800gtx maybe should actually be the 9800GTX witch have the 512mb.
