Build looks pretty good. As for ASRock, they are a subsidiary of ASUS, so they are not crap. Few people around here have ASRock boards and are happy with them. Do you already have the 460s?

I currently have an ASRock M3A770DE board. It's a really cheap board, but I really like it. I've had zero problems and it performs like a champ.

ASROCK do NOT have access to the engineers and R&D of Asus motherboards!

I used ASRock for both of my "newer" builds in my sig. They are great boards!!! I really enjoy the boards because they overclock so easily. The board for my 6 core is about $75. And I was able to OC to 4.0ghz no problem. I would highly recommend them.

Generally speaking, the mobo isn't going to make much of a difference to performance.

I've got an 870 extreme 3. The pcie in crossfire is only x8 for both, but it was cheap as heck, and it has some pretty good overclocking options. Plus the clear cmos button on the back is useful if you push the settings too far.

No, they aren't, go look at all the reviews and you can see that the current 1155 ASRock boards do much better then ASUS board. That hasn't been the case in the past, but ASRock has stepped up their game in the past year. Also, ASRock boards have PCI-E 3.0 for Ivy Bridge and I don't believe ASUS does.

I use a asrock p55 extreme and it's freaking great. No issues in the 15+ months I've owned it.

This^

From what I've seen, ASRock is like ASUS but without all the extra bells and whistles that ASUS comes with.

The new ASRock boards actually come with more bells and whistles.

I always enjoy watching companies grow. This is one of those. A few years ago they weren't anybody, but now they are becoming, or maybe even ARE, a major player. It just makes me happy. Anyways, they always get good reviews on Newegg. I personally wouldn't hesitate buying from them.

I got their x58 extreme board a few years ago. The board was put together really cheaply. Had problems with the board and RMA it back. When I got the replacement I gave the board to my cousin. Bought a Asus board instead. I always go with Asus and never had one problem with their boards. Should of just stuck with what I know. The new board they sent me that I gave to my cousin has problems as well. Some thing wrong with the top PCI Express slot. It keeps generating errors and crashing his comp. Had to switch to the second PCI express slot. Luckily he's not a gamer so he'll never need it for SLI.

I bought an Asrock motherboard before they were even considered decent and I was able to take my E8500 to 4.1ghz. I'd say that Asrock mobo that was DDR2 and DDR3 ram compatible was pretty damn impressive. I rocked it. No pun intended.
