The value of the orange box is overrated, I'd say. Everybody already has HL2 and many people have episode 1. 5 games for the price of one.. yeah... 2 of which they are just selling again. The only real NEW games are Portal, Epi2 and TF2. Hardly a good buy, if you have HL2 and episode1 already. If you dont, though, Pretty good deal.

To the orig question it really depends actually, you will end up playing team fortress 2 with orange a lot and it is very diff from bf2. Bf2 got kinda screwed over by the latest patches so I must say orange box.
Also I could reccomend at the same Quake Wars, over 20 hours in the last 4 days.
Portal and Episode 2 are very short sp experiences. TF2 is probably the best content of the pack, but I doubt that could compete against BF2, QW, UT III, COD 4 or Hellgate multiplayer...

orange box for sure. BF2 still has a metric ton of bugs and performance problems. you need at least a high end 7 series card(7800 or higher) to play the game decently and the game came out in early 2005!
I'm a big fan of Battlefield 2, but even I would still choose Orange Box over that. No one hardly plays the Euro Force/Armored Fury expansions for Battlefield 2. If you want Battlefield 2, you should just get the original game and maybe Special Forces if you'd like. Orange Box is something I plan on getting, very very soon.

Um. 3 games over one? Yeah smart. Besides Episode 2 has lots of replay value, not to mention Team Fortress 2.
Orange Box easily. Sure, some BF2 mods are nice but HL2 mods are practically endless in variety... and lets not forget to mention the actual content of the games.
Portal, HL2EP2 and TF2 are more than worth the admission fee... heck, I'd go as far as to say EP2 and Portal are more than worth the admission fee.

thats YOUR opinion. I would go for the OB. then BF2 later..
definitely the orange box. if you want battlefield 2 as well, just get battlefield 2 without the expansions. it's $10. a great deal. the expansions don't do all that much.
