Were proud to announce that Origin is partnering with Twitch, and today were launching phase one of this integration. With a few clicks of your mouse, you can now broadcast your gaming session live, directly to your Twitch channel, for gamers around the world to view. With the combined power of Origin and Twitch, its never been easier to take your own gameplay online, in real-time.

To start broadcasting, just start playing a game, then bring up Origin In Game by hitting Shift+F1 (or whatever keystroke youve chosen for your Origin In Game Hotkey). Youll notice a camera icon has been added to the bottom of this screen.

You'll also be able to add non-Origin games to Origin in the next update.

Why is origin better than steam I am not kidding, the software is so polished. From initial release you could choose a different install location. You can also send messages offline so they get sent later. Also the ingame is more polished. All they need to do is integrate steam friends to origin. That would be too epin.

IDK what it is, I am still scared to install Origin based upon their.... history. I have a hard time trusting EA, I even used a nocd mod on my mass effect 3 when I bought it so I wouldnt have to install Origin.

I dont like the idea of spying. Most people are comfortable with it but im not, this kind of thinking makes it seem ok for companys like EA to behave like the way that they do now.

I have dealt with programs that have done this before, Origin happens to only be the most popular. If you are so sure then please feel free to reverse engineer it and tell me for youself that they do not need your information because last time I checked. Origin did, got caught and lied about it, then admitted it, and everyone just sat around and acted like it didnt happen. Ya know what, let me also leave my front door open tonight might aswell with this kind of mindset. Its boggleing that people really allow this to happen.

Suppose that they do spy on your PC and they wont ever do anything beyond simple advertising. Its still to me something I do not like and would not rather be a part of. They are just another Sony to me, ticking time bomb until they get hacked or until they need more money.

Sorry for the derailment OP, didnt actually intend this.

How's about EA's past of being dookie? How's about shutting down servers not a year or two after the game launched and such? Still, Origin is coming along somewhat. Being able to run games without the client is good, but that seems to be going away in my newest Origin purchases.

I used Origin quite a lot lately with Most Wanted, BF1942 for free and the Crysis 3 Alpha. I never liked the idea of yet another gaming client, but I'm glad that they are constantly improving it.

Since I installed Origin, the SWAT Team has broken into my house 4 times. Seriously though, it ain't what all the EA Haters make it out to be. Like Jiggs said, some parts are even more polished than Steam (and I think it's still in Beta). Giving ur email to GameSpot for an account is as much risk as installing Origin or Steam.

To have some kind of "privacy" on you will need not to connect to the interwebz...ever...

You want to tell me that you are living in a lake full of **** full of **** and piss...and when somebody trows in your lake a toilet/WC, you will not use it because you are affraid of getting "dirty"????THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE TELLING US! Are you in your right mind?!
And what do you thin they are spying on you for...or what are you afraid of?Do you think that anyone will check on what you do on you PC???No one gives a **** what porn sites do you visit...or what websites do you visit in genaral...or what kind of software programs you have in your pc...pfff

Doesn't livestreaming take considerable performance? They're talking pretty nonchalantly about it in the news article. Steam should really step their game up, especially about the basic functionality of choosing an instal directory.

I didn't want to insult you...i really didn't...but i couldn't help it.And for that iam sorry.
But you are still freaking me out!!!!
Your fears are based on nothing...
Give me a real world example that could justify your fear of Origin...something like:"iam afraid Origin would steal my credit card info"...something that is valid in the real world!
I really want to understand you...somehow...

The only "spying" that Origin or Steam.do, if it can even be called that, is for market studies on what people play, use and download. why would EA want to know what programs U have installed or what files? Its useless to them. Think for a second from THEIR point of view, they are in it to make money, and the best way to do that is to.show U things U are interested in. Don't fall for the conspiracy machine all the EA haters created

Origin doesn't spy, people thought it did because it scanned directories in search of EA games to add. That's all it did and people somehow read that as Origin was spying on people, sending back their information etc.

Nah, it did (at first) scan for your usual software installed, just like Steam, Impulse and other clients do, among other things after everybody and their mom raged on the internet because they suddently discovered there is more than ignorance in this world, it now only scans for EA games. If people are that paranoid then they should burn their computers infected by Steam and cut all the power to their house, since on the internet, these apps are nothing.
