Hi guys, I am almost out of space in my hard drive, and there are still games that I want to buy... is there any difference between installing on steam or installing through dvd?

The games are downloaded to your hard drive so eventually you will run out of space the more games you buy.

Well games through steam is installed on the drive that Steam is installed on, While with a Hard copy you can choose which drive you want to put the game on if you have more then one.

That still doesn't solve the "out of space" problem though. Best thing for the poster....new bigger HDD, they are cheap these days...

This. Windows can use as many HDDs as your case can handle and them some. You can then uninstall some games and reinstall them on the new drive and install new games on it as you buy them.

Purchase a new HDD like Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB. It should hold you over for a while.

here is a another way, a method that will cost you a lot lesser. Backup your Steam games which you're not playing for now, buy some blank DVDs, then write those Steam Backups into DVDs for easy installations later on. Saved alot of money for me at times . Also try some System Utility software like Tuneup Utilities as your hard disk loses alot of space unnecessarily.

What do you mean it doesnt solve the out of space problem?

Back up all your steam games you have downloaded and delete teh ones you dont play. That would make tons of space free.. I do it all the time, just beat DA2, so I backed it up on my external HD and deleted it off my computers HD. Next tim I want to play DA2 again its right there ready.

100GB left of a 500GB HD is now 375GB left after backing up some games that Ive already beat, fixed my OUT OF SPACE issue so I have no idea what your on about.

Got 1.3 TB left on one External HD and about 200GB left from a 500GB external. When ever my HD on my pc gets below 100GB I put stuff onto one of my external HD's, no issues at all, problem solved.
