Short Version: Developers of the game "Savage 2" abuse the small userbase it has. Avoid the game and save youself that $29.99 for a very special night out with that lady friend of yours.
Just wanted to let anyone out there interested in this game to steer clear. There is an average of less than 100 players globally on at one point, meaning you're usually stuck with one populated US server. ( The rest being EU.) The thing is this game ain't half bad. It can be very rewarding to work with your teammates. The game itself isn't the problem. It is the companie's policy of letting it's developers wreck havoc on the few servers that are up. There is one particular developer who has a very nasty reputation of booting players who kill him, or talk back to his insults. He will tell completely new players how spectactularily bad they are while calling them call kinds of names. How would a game grow when the developers chide the noobs?
The REAL kicker to all of this is that the developer in question is the OWNER of the whole company. This guy goes into games and ruins them. Completely unbelievable. A friend of mine whom I persuaded to buy the game on the merits of it's gameplay, was booted by this developer for killing him one too many times. It is this developer's every right to do whatever he pleases to whoever buys the game and wanders into the unfortunate server he resides in. I do not feel this right of his should be in question. I am just warning the gaming community of a gaming comapny doing some mighty terrible business with its customers.
One neat feature of the game is that you can download replays of each and every Savage 2 game ever played, meaning ALL of the behavior which has transpired is completely provable. This doesn't shy this person away from continuing to give his company, and game a very bad repuation.
I'm a bit upset I have to write something like this, but I feel you guys shouldn't be wasting your hard-earned money while supporting his immature, and destructive behavior on the Savage 2 servers.
