I am a newbie in overclocking cpu. I tried to overclock my cpu to 3.0 ghz. I managed to push the cpu to 2.8 before the computer ask me to run in safe mode. my core voltage is 1.2 and the temp during load is 52c. Is it normal to run computer in safe mode??or is there any setting i should change???

I think that means it's unstable, remember that memory frequencies can change stability. You should see if that is holding back. BTW what is your Processor?

You didn't give us nearly enough details to be able to ascertain the nature of your problem. What sort of CPU? What sort of motherboard? What type of RAM, and is that overclocked as well (I suspect your RAM might be the problem here)? Is that 52c the core, or surface temp? What sort of power supply is running this setup anyway?

So you manually clocked the RAM back so it's running at its stock speed (or lower)?
