I was thinking about overclocking my laptop. I heard that overclocking laptops can cause them to overheat alot. These are my specs :

CPU : Intel Pentuim T2330 DUAL CORE 1.6GHZ

Memory : 2GB DDR2 RAM DUAL CHANNEL

Both cores run at 798MHz and the DRAM Frequency is 266Mhz.

I hope you guys can help.

theres really no point as youd probably only be able to get 100mhz at most considering its a laptop and only has 1.6ghz to start with. get a 2500k on a desktop then you can easily overclock each of the 4 cores from 3.3ghz to 4.5. that is 4.8 ghz more, which is worth any bother. 200 mhz isnt.

Most brands won't let you overclock, and even if they do it's not a good idea to overclock laptops.

What he said and even if somehow you manage to overclock it it wont be more than 100-200mhz and you probably not gonna notice any speed improvements
