Do you have 4x4? The more ram you have, the harder it is to get a good OC.

i persume so lol anythink above 4.6 is BSOD even setting the voltage abit low so i guess 4.6 is max with having 16gig of ram

Dont lower the voltages if its unstable above 4.6, means you hit the ceiling at your current voltage. Try bumping the voltage up a little and see if it boots, unless your using too much voltage already or the the heat is too much during a stablity test.

My friend got his 2600k to 5.4ghz O.O, he's got some crazy watercooling kit with insane airflow in his case. Maybe google "2600k overclocking" cos usually that gives you guides that have voltages and other stuff that you need to tweak.

i tough those 100$ starting kit are sort of cpu cooling only with single loop setup and aren't that much stronger then mass airflow seem it related to lack of extreme high end cpu copper waterblock & pump & those expensive 380mm-400mm radiator

http://www.dangerden.com/store/tower-26-cooling-kit-480mm-radiator.html expensive right ? lol but i heard with such a setup you can reach 5.4Ghz without issue tough it high voltage and who know if it gonna make the cpu fail to be stable after 2 year of usage :P

i have a coolit eco A.L.C so cooling shouldnt be a problem

Whiteknight19

and sorry to deceive you Topic Creator but what i know about Coolit ECO A.L.C Is i was Told many time it suck in Cooling Effifancy (Bad Airflow) but it Very Quiet & Low Weight that it only strong point

The Cool ECO A.L.C http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/coolit_eco/4.htm
in this review it can't even beat Noctua NH-U12P which was also beaten easily by buying a 30$ cooler such as it the Scyth Mugen II Rev B.but you have to add 2x 120mm fan at around 90CFM to see it shine and perhap even a hyper212+ with two fan setup's push/pull would also come close in performances

anyhow if you got 4.8Ghz Stable with a Low Quality Watercooling solution such as is CoolIT ECO A.L.C you can stay with that 4.8Ghz Still good

but if you wanted Excellent CPU Watercooling Easy to install & affordable : Corsair H70 is the solution
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/corsair-h70_5.html#sect0

But ur perhap better with a High Quality airflow Setup such as Thermaltake Frio's or Thermalright Archon :

O no, I am not talking about those closed circuit kits.

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11743/ex-wat-159/XSPC_Rasa_750_RS240_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_-HOT.html?tl=c83s137b49

A perfectly good starting kit for cooling the cpu which can be later added to for perhaps gpu or etc.
